Pay online with Apple Pay.

Apple's payment service has been available in The Netherlands since June 11th, 2019. This means that you can effortlessly offer Apple Pay in your webshop. ING, ABN AMRO, Rabobank, bunq, Monese, Revolut and N26 currently support this mobile payment method.

It is unclear when other smaller Dutch banks such as SNS Bank, Triodos and Knab will follow. According to various sources, SNS Bank is still discussing whether they are going support Apple Pay while Triodos says to be supporting the mobile payment method not anytime soon. When it comes to Knab it is still unclear what the current status is. Lisa, Open Moderator at Knab on the Knab forum says: "When we will offer Apple Pay is the question but we will let you know as soon as possible when the time comes!"

When you activate this payment method in your webshop, Apple Pay will appear in the check-out. Pay. shows Apple Pay on the credit card and Maestro payment screens if the payment method is installed and if a connected card is found. The payment option is only visible to iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch users who shop online via Safari, which is Apple's default browser.

Does your customer not have a valid card linked to the account? Then he can still easily link and add it to his Apple Wallet or choose to pay with another payment method.

You don’t need to do anything if you make use of a Pay. PIN terminal in your physical store. Your customer can pay easily and securely with Apple Pay via their iPhone or Apple Watch. To be able to do so, the payment card that your customer uses must support this payment method.

Apple released the iCard which is similar to Revolut's services. The iCard is a credit card where Apple acts as a card issuer and which uses the Visa network. This means that a payment via Apple Pay can also be processed as a credit card payment.
